Hi crew, newbie to this forum.
Just got 5.0.2 and found that it's nowhere near as good as divx 6.3 when playing at least one .avi that I have.
'Dark Light's sweeping search light has juddery motion, then pixelates badly with stuck trailing pixels.
Enabling 'force overlay' kills the vision all together [audio only] and changing filter settings makes no difference.
The pic is perfect in divx 6.3 . Video card is xfx 8800gts
Any clues appreciated.
TIA

without any information about the material and the player you use it's hard to tell if this is a 3ivx problem,...
for video info e.g. use MPEG4Modifier (http://www.moitah.net/) open the file and post the Video infos

# DS Video Decoder
* Windows Media Player 11 does not post process and ignores

mentioned in http://www.3ivx.com/...rt/tbd_502.html
+ may be a problem with GMC 3
-> if you want this fixed, you probably best write an email to the 3ivx support.

Hi, thanks for your help.
I can only find tech articles and this forum in their support section.
The email in 'Company' is asked not to be used for support.
Where can I find a support email address?
TIA

Some time ago it was support AT 3ivx DOT COM but I wrote a PM to Wendy Espey (form the admin team) and think that she can probably give a better answer. :)

support at 3ivx dot com does get through to us. We monitor it about as frequently as we monitor the forums :)

I have forwarded this thread to an engineer to look in to it. Hopefully we'll have some insight to offer shortly.

~Wendy

There is probably a decoder/encoder incompatibility, which we would like to fix.

This seems to have been encoded with XviD.

You should make arrangements with Wendy to supply us with a short test clip which exhibits the problem. Then we can get this into the next bugfix update.
