Audio Sync Problems .AVI to .MOV with DivxII

After converting the AVI's to QT the audio is a couple of seconds out of sync from the visual. This does not happen every time, but most times. I have tried opening the AVI in QT directly but I get no audio at all. (Yes I have installed the divx codec)
I'm am trying to put these to VCD or DVD.

Any solutions??

Try installing audio codecs
